Saint Louis Martin was a watchmaker in Alencon, France. In his early years, he was a soldier. At 22 he sought to enter a monastery but was thwarted by his inability to learn latin. He met Saint Zelie, married and had 9 children, the youngest being Saint Therese, the "Little Flower". They are the first married couple to be canonized.
