Blessed Alberto Marvelli was raised in a strong Italian Catholic family that faithfully helped the poor. Throughout his life, Alberto observed an intense spiritual schedule of daily prayer, Mass, and adoration, including weekly confession. At 18, he was elected the president of the Italian Catholic Action branch, then finished college with an engineering degree. During the social and political upheaval of WWII, he provided supplies for destitute families and rescuing POWs and Jews from deportation to concentration camps. He died in 1946 in a bicycle accident.  His life epitomizes what it means to live for God and His Church.
