Saint Susanna, a beautiful Christian virgin who was martyred during the Diocletianic Persecution when she refused to marry Emporer Diocletian’s pagan relative. Diocletian, in his anger, then had her and her father beheaded in their home, which subsequently turned into a church called the church of St. Susanna ad duas domos in Rome.
