In Beauraing, Belgium, on November 29, 1932 the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to five children as a beautiful young woman dressed in white with a gold crown and Heart of Gold surrounded by glittering rays. She said "I am the Immaculate Virgin.” and asked for a chapel to be built. The Virgin emphasized the importance of prayer, goodness, conversion, and love for Jesus. The apparitions continued for several weeks, concluding on January 3, 1933. On July 2, 1949, the apparitions were approved, along with the miraculous cures attributed to the intercession of Our Lady.
