Saint Adeline was a French Benedictine nun and the first Abbess at the Abbaye Blanche in Mortain, Normandy. She was the sister of St. Vitalis, the founder of the Benedictine Congregation of Savigny, and granddaughter of William the Conqueror. She’s known for her wisdom, holiness, and piety. The nuns at her abbey were known as the "white ladies" because their habits were white, like the Cistercians, but adapted in her Benedictine community.
