Saint Leopold the Good was the Margrave of Austria from 1095 until his death in 1136 After his first wife died in 1105, he married Agnes of Germany in 1106, who was a widowed noblewoman with two children of her own. Together, they had 18 children (11 survived), whom they raised with loving, gentle, faith-filled care.  Known as an honest and holy ruler, Leopold was a devoted supporter of the pope and Church. He established several monasteries that are still in existence today. Many miracles have been attributed to his intercession following his death.
