In 1859, the Blessed Virgin Mary visited a simple Belgium girl, Adele Brise, in N.E. Wisconsin. Her message was to teach the children their faith. A long history of miraculous events have occurred; conversions, physical healings and preserving the holy shrine grounds from the infamous Peshtigo fire of 1871. The shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is the only Marian shrine in the U.S. on the site of an approved Apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
