St. Philip was one of Jesus' original apostles who is most famous for being present at the miracle of the loaves and the fishes.  He was shy and timid by nature but given extraordinary graces to preach the gospel in Greece, after the death of Jesus.  He was crucified upside-down and is said to have even preached from the cross.
